History
Kandhamal Degree Mahavidyalaya is situated in the centre of Kandhamal District near Hatisal Hill in Sarangada, This college was established by the than some philanthropic persons and social worker to impart higher education among the students . To establish the college some local social worker dedicated their time to collect money by various sources for infrastructure development . The than MLA of Balliguda Shri Sahura Mallick came forward with some local social worker and educationist in the year 1998. This college comes under 662 categories , In every year we observes 27th January as the foundation day of our college.
Now the college has Arts stream with total 224 seats with four Honours subjects . The college came under Block Grant fold in the year 2008 and Grant in Aid fold in the year 2017.
There are so many curricular and Co- curricular activities have been going on in our college. NSS and YRC units are very effective wings to do something good work for society . The examination result of college across above 95% every year some students were achieved medals in state level games and sports . we pray to God for its more achievements.
